Although learning online allows students to determine when they learn, it does not reduce the time required to learn. Academic concepts take time and engagement to master and neither of these are compromised with Southlands online courses.

When students are enrolled in a course, there will be a designated pacing schedule associated with that class. The pacing schedule will require them to perform a certain amount of work each week to ensure the process of learning is carried out effectively.
