ComingToAmerica
Choosing a Study Program:
Online study is your bridge to studying in America. The next step would be actually traveling to the U.S.A and participating in a study program. There are both short and long-term programs available on the Southlands’ local campus.
If you’re looking for something short-term to experience American life, learn English, and see some of America’s top tourist attractions, Southlands Summer Camp is just what you’re looking for. For more information on Summer Camp, look here. If academics is your focus and you want to complete some credits while you experience American life, you’ll want to sign up for Southlands Summer School program. For more information on classes and admissions for summer school, look here.
Students who wish to study long-term in America should become full-time students at Southlands Walnut Campus in California. For more information on how to become a student on Southlands campus, take a look at our school website’s information for international students.
Getting a Visa:
So you’ve decided to give studying at Southlands a shot and you’ve signed up for a program. The next step is making sure you get the right visa. If you are coming to participate in a summer or short-term study program you can enter the U.S. with a visitor’s visa.
If you are entering the U.S. as a Southlands full-time student, you will need to apply for an F-1 visa. For more information on visa requirements and application procedures, visit the following websites:

Homestay:
Southlands has several American homes that are ready to receive international students.
An American homestay offers our international students an opportunity to grow in English language skills at an accelerated pace. We find that students who are placed in American homes have better English language comprehension which helps them in their classroom experience.
Our goal is to provide your student with a loving and supportive homestay family that will enrich your student's time at Southlands Christian Schools.
